"I bear
solemn and grateful witness that Jesus is the Christ, the
Savior of the world. Certainly he is the center of our
worship and the key to our happiness. Let us follow the
Son of God in all ways and all walks of life. "Let us make him our exemplar
and our guide.
"We are at a time in
the history of the world and the growth of the Church
when we must think more of holy things and act more like
the Savior would expect his disciples to act. We should
at every opportunity ask ourselves, 'What would Jesus
do?' and then act more courageously upon the answer. We
must be about his work as he was about his Father's. We
should make every effort to become like Christ, the one
perfect and sinless example this world has ever
seen."
Follow The Son Of God:
Conference, October 1994
"I add my own
apostolic witness that Jesus is the Christ, the son of
the living God; that he was born into mortality and
fulfilled his ministry as related in the scriptures,
which record his birth, his life, his teachings, and his
commandments.
"In teaching his
Apostles, Christ made known to them "that the Son of
Man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the
elders, and of the chief priests, and scribes, and be
killed, and after three days rise again." (Mark
8:31.) So it was. He was crucified and placed in the
tomb. On the third day, he did arise to live again--the
Savior of all mankind and the firstfruits of the
Resurrection. Through this atoning sacrifice, all men
shall be saved from the grave and shall live again. This
always has been the testimony of the Apostles, to which I
add my witness, in the name of Jesus Christ, amen."
